im gonna type in BM and English because thats just how i talk *HAHA*
We arrived around noon (Ho Chi Minh City) took a bus from the Airport to Ben Thant Market bus stop. NOW STOP!! This was very stupid of me to think this but i imagined busses in Vietnam would be old & dirty but HELLL NOOOOO the busses were actually really really awesome ! Clean and ada air-cond wei. JUST DONT LOOK OUT THE WINDOW, motorcyclist situ hardcore tahap dewa. They literally have NO RULES on the Road.
Dah sampai Bus Stop, apa lagi ? tanya directions.
''Excuse me, Pham ngu Lao Street?"
"ahhhh you go *hand motion* then u err errrr *hand motion* then you vrumvrum *hand motion*
itu lah respond yang paling boleh kita faham. so yeah la we walked.
WALKED AND WALKED AND WALKED. Rupanya kita jalan satu round, hotel kami depan straight ja padahal *takpa exercise* The hotel staff wes really nice, they showed us everything and made our stay more pleasant.
okay now lets talk Matematik Orang Budget
I went with 3 friends, total = 4 person (Lia , Farhan , Aty)
We stayed there for 4 nights and each of us only paid RM167 for the total of 4 nights. We took the family room because it was more comfortable for all of us. We got the shock of our life when we saw our room (bare in mind hanya hotel 2 Star ya)
NOT BAD KAN? if you guys are interested you guys can check the hotel Here.
tip : the bigger rooms are more comfortable so take the family room kalau boleh
#2: i don't know why banyak bad comments about this Hotel and i guess its luck. Kalau nasib malang, hotel 5 Star pun boleh ruin your day. But do say hi to a girl name TAM working at the hotel, she's really friendly :)
OKAY NOW LAPAR
My friends are all Muslim so we were figuring out halal Restaurants in Saigon. It was harder than i thought.... there was pork EVRYWHERE. Dang.. So my malaysian friends if you are there for a holiday , there's a street next to Ben Thant Market and the locals call it Malaysian street so situ lah yang banyak kedai melayu ( but i warn you they are kinda pricey ) tip: Basiroh & Pho muslim was my fav
we ate here and it was good but too pricey for our Budget Trip *masa tu lapaq sangat dah tak tahan nak makan*
After that we went to Ben Thant Market and let me tell you. MOST PEOPLE THERE ARE BLOODY RUDE, and trust me it was pissing all of us off. Diorang suka tarik paksa beli and kalau you dah tengok-tengok barang dia pastu tak beli, mampuih hang ke carut tau. So please don't take any of it personally and korang kena pandai mintak discount sebab price diorang bagi memang overpriced.
The night market is way better.
DINNER DINNER DINNER SAVED THE DAY
we walked for like 5km for the food but the view was really nice along the way
and we bought ice cream on the way! *Best Oreo ice-cream Iv ever had in my life*
After walking for almost 20 minutes, sudah sampan kedai Seafood yey! In vietnam, shellfish are really good, especially SIPUT *snails* !
Just by looking at the pictures while I'm writing this, I'm hungry now...
THIS DINNER LITERALLY MADE OUR NIGHT
Udang: Spicy, garing and juicy & super fresh ! literally they were swimming in a glass aquarium before it became our dinner *hihi*
Leopard Snail: It was spicy and the butter taste is really strong. if you like butter you would like this one. *and takdak rasa fishy langsung*
Kerang: Spicy and sweet and so so good
afterwards we made a courage decision to take a motorbike Teksi back to the hotel ! *no pictures because i was too busy holding on to dear life*
so our first day was so-so, we were mostly pissed off by the rude vendors in Ben Thant Market and our second day was wayyyy better! wait for post DAY 2 IN VIETNAM xoxo
#TIPSSSSSS
-Sediakan calculator masa shopping *sangat crucial*
-Faham currency Ringgit vs Dong
-Dont bring a fancy handbag, take care of your belongins at ALL TIMES. I almost got robbed on Day 2 In Vietnam *stay tuned for that story*
-Bawak lah Sardin ke roti ke maggie ke, makanan agak susah nak cari yang halal (for muslims)
